I think that a lot of people do not really appreciate poetry. It is a shame because I think that a lot of people were forced to learn poems when they were at school and it has put them off. I think that what a lot of people do not realise is that there are many different types of poetry and they do not have to be long and boring. I think that some people even do not recognise the poetry around us such as the greetings in birthday cards and things like that. I have decided to start to do something about this. It is just something small but I hope that it will make some difference and this is that I am going to start giving poetry gifts. I have decided that I will start by writing some personalized poems for my family members and see how they go down. I hope that people will like the idea and appreciate what I am doing. I think that I will encourage the children to do the same thing. I think that it will be really nice for them to write some teacher poems to give to the staff at their school at the end of this academic year.
